解説（日本語）

横須賀・馬堀海岸沿いに佇む、走水神社。
そこに祀られるのは、荒れる海を鎮め、
日本武尊の戦いの成就を願って入水した弟橘比売。

海と一体になるようなその祈りの深さは、
今も波間にほどける髪のように、静かに、静かに広がっていきます。

この絵は、「犠牲」ではなく、
意志ある“融合”の物語として、
入水の美しさを捉えようとした一作です。

Description（English）

Along the coast of Yokosuka stands Hashirimizu Shrine,
dedicated to Ototachibana-hime,
who immersed herself into the sea in prayer—
to calm the waves and ensure Prince Yamato Takeru’s victory.

This painting doesn’t dwell on sacrifice,
but instead attempts to express a more profound merging—
where silk-like strands of hair and shimmering bubbles become one with the sea.

A moment of stillness.
A devotion that resonates far beneath the surface.
